What after ACCA?

What should I study after ACCA?

CFA
Another qualification that you could go after ACCA is CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) if you want to work in Financial Sector.

It is only really worthwhile going for another qualification if it is specific to your particular field of work.

Why CFA?
  1. The CFA Program covers concepts and skills you will use at all stages of your career.
  2. The self-paced, online format makes it easier for you to continue working while you complete the program.
  3. Completing the CFA Program shows employers and clients you have mastered a broad range of practical portfolio management and advanced investment analysis skills.
  4. The three-year program requires you to study for and pass three levels of exams. If you pass the exams and meet other requirements (practical experience of 4 years), you earn a CFA® charter.

MSc in Professional Accountancy

ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and UoL (The University of London) International Programs are offering a ground-breaking Masters' program to ACCA students, affiliates and members around the world. This is the MSc in Professional Accountancy.
MSc in Professional Accountancy (MPA) marks the first time for an accountancy body to have collaborated with a university for an integrated qualification, to enable students across the globe to gain a Masters' degree and a Professional Accountancy qualification at the same time. The combination of ACCA's unparalleled global network of students and members, alongside the University of London's unrivaled network of accredited teaching institutions has presented a powerful partnership. ACCA candidates can now directly have a complete suite of professional and academic qualifications.

Why MPA?

  2. A combined academic and professional perspective will give candidates the leading edge in competitive marketplace.
  3. Excellent value for money, as the monetary investment made towards your ACCA qualification will count towards your MSc degree.
  4. The elasticity to fit studies around work.

ACCA F2 Key to Pass

ACCA F2

Paper F2 Management Accounting is disturbed with administration the business so as to achieve better performance. It includes topics like how to calculate the cost of producing items in a manufacturing company, the preparation of budgets and the computation of variances.

The exam consists of two sections:

Section A will contain 35 two mark objective questions.
Section B will contain 3 ten mark multi-task questions - one will be on Budgeting, one from Standard costing, and one from Performance measurement.

F2 exam

Although most of the mathematics involved is not complicated in itself, there is a lot of time pressure – it is not easy to complete all of the questions in two hours. Additionally, there often small ‘tricks’ in the wording of the questions which (especially under time pressure) lead to it being easy to choose the wrong answer even if you are happy with the particular topic.

Although all the questions in Section A carry equal marks, they are not all of equal complexity. You will find some of the questions very quick and easy, whereas others will take much longer.

Although the majority of questions involve arithmetic, there will be some questions asking you to choose between quite a few written statements.

Candidates are advised to:

Revise the whole syllabus, because the paper will cover the full syllabus.
Practice as many multiple choice questions as possible.
Read questions very carefully in the examination
Ensure that their calculations are complete before selecting their answer to multiple choice questions
Try to attempt the “easy” examination questions first.
Not to spend too much time on apparently “difficult” questions.
Attempt all questions in the examination (there are no negative marks for incorrect answers).
Ensure that all parts of the question are answered for section B
